There Is Only One Tideflex® Check Valve

In 1984, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) commissioned Red Valve Company to develop and test an alternative to traditional flap gate valves. In response to the EPA’s request, the legendary Tideflex® Check Valve was developed and patented. The innovative Tideflex® Check Valve, with its revolutionary duck bill design, is extremely effective in eliminating operational and maintenance problems associated with flap gates. It has helped tens of thousands of communities control or mitigate river and tidal backflow, preventing flooding and environmental hazards. The first Tideflex® Check Valve, sold in 1984, is still in service today, and over one million Tideflex® Check Valves are reliably solving inflow and backflow challenges worldwide.

Since the creation of the Tideflex® Check Valve, years of research and development, testing and proven performance have led to the development of the next-generation valves including the CheckMate UltraFlex® Inline Check Valve, along with Tideflex® Mixing Systems for Potable Water Storage Tanks, Tideflex® Aeration & Mixing Systems, Tideflex® Hydraulic Recirculation Systems and Tideflex® Effluent Diffuser Systems.
