DeZURIK Completes the Acquisition of APCO Willamette Products and Operations
The acquisition of APCO Willamette by DeZURIK, Inc. has been completed effective April 1, 2011. As a leading producer of check valves, air valves and AWWA ball valves, the addition of APCO products and operations significantly expands the DeZURIK business base and creates one of the broadest engineered valve companies in the industry.
Under terms of the asset purchase agreement, DeZURIK has acquired all APCO products and production capability including a manufacturing plant in Schaumburg, Illinois and a sales office in San Clemente, California. The APCO and Willamette names, both well respected in the marketplace, will be retained as brands of DeZURIK, Inc. Consolidated business operations will be directed from DeZURIK corporate headquarters in Sartell, Minnesota.
The APCO acquisition represents a major strategic expansion of DeZURIK capability adding products complementary to all business segments. Both companies have a long history of innovative product development in valve design and supply with products commonly used together in water treatment plants, in piping systems and in industrial plants to assure efficiency and reliable process operation.
An integration plan has been initiated to begin the process of combining the resources of both companies in product design and manufacturing. Customer sales & technical support services have been combined and will be provided by the extensive DeZURIK sales network.
